Settlement Rules: Voids, Dead Heats, and Extra Time

What happens to a T7777 ticket when reality gets awkward.

Markets settle against rules written before the event, and the awkward cases, voids, ties, and curtailments, are where reading pays. The general concepts below appear across sports; the exact wording lives in each operator's rules, which is where disputes go for adjudication.

Voids

A selection can be voided: stake returned, ticket rebuilt without it. Common triggers include a match not starting, a player not taking part, or a market struck in error. In an acca, a void leg multiplies by one, shortening the combined price without killing the ticket.

Dead heats

When two participants tie for a placing, dead-heat rules divide the stake: half wins at the price, half loses. The maths is mechanical and older than every modern sport; recognising the phrase in a rules page is the whole preparation.

Extra time and periods

Whether a market includes overtime, extra time, or only regulation is stated per market. Football full-time results typically mean ninety minutes plus stoppage unless a market says otherwise. The phrase to respect is whichever the market explicitly names.

Curtailments and corrections

Postponed events, abandoned matches, and palpable errors in prices each have a lane in the rules: resettle, void, or correct at the true figures. On T7777 as everywhere, the written rules page outranks memory and folklore, and reading it once per unfamiliar market is cheap insurance.

Where do I find settlement wording?

In the sports rules page linked from the market or help area. The awkward cases are always defined there, usually with examples.

What happens to my acca if one leg is void?

The void leg settles at odds of one, and the remaining legs keep their prices. The ticket survives with a smaller combined figure.

Does a dead heat mean I lose everything?

No; the stake splits; the placed share wins at the price and the rest loses. It is a partial settlement, not a wipeout.
